The LBUSD Common Core State Standards K-12 Technology Scope and Sequence provides a comprehensive blueprint for technology instruction aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English/Language Arts, Mathematics and Literacy in History, Science and Technical Subjects as well as the skills required to successfully take the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium's (SBAC) Computer Adaptive Assessment.

type to learn.jpegType To Learn is a keyboarding program that teaches students proper keyboarding techniques to gain accuracy and speed. Families can download Type to Learn for home use. All students will need their Username (9-digit Student ID# from the teacher, school office or ParentVue), Password (6-digit date of birth) and Account Code from the teacher or school office.

Technology Practice Skills For SBAC
Grades 3-5
Skills Activities Internet Links/Activity
Mouse Skills Students can practice multiple mouse skills, including scrolling, using drop down menus, radio buttons, and accessing links to build their navigation skills.
Highlight/Select Text Students will wear headphones to listen to content and follow instructions to highlight/select text. Students will highlight/select text to make corrections, add text, and delete text.
Navigation Students will learn to navigate a webpage by reading instructions, clicking items, dragging items, viewing videos, and entering text into fields.
Drag and Drop Students will practice following instructions by dragging and dropping items thus reinforcing the skills of dragging and dropping within a field.
