what does common core testing look like?

Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is the new state test that aligns to the new Common Core standards. The computer based tests are administered to grades 3 through 8 and grade 11 in English Language Arts and Math content standards adopted by the state board. The spring 2014 SBAC tests are field tests only given to students for practice and to enable the SBAC to gauge the validity and reliability of these assessments. There will be NO student or school test results distributed and state Assembly Bill 484 prohibits the comparison of the SBAC tests results with results from previous STAR assessments (AB-484: Pupil assessments).
